Epics ‘N’ Stuffs 2025 painting competition
We’ve been open a few months now and as many may know we’re passionate about painting miniatures!
To help cement that thought we’re running a painting competition in-store over the next couple of months. Entrants will submit a model which will be shown in our store cabinet; ultimately the entries will be judged by us and the public with the results being posted on social media.
Details of the competition are below!
Dates:
Competition Start - 1st October 2025
Competition End - 30th November 2025
Public Voting - 1st December - 14th December 2025
Results published - 16th December 2025
We might shift these dates slightly to avoid any store developments but the hope is it’s all done in time for Christmas so that the winners can grab their rewards :)
Rules:
Max base size 60mm, this is a strict rule due to space, if you turn up with a model that stands on a base larger than 60mm it will be unfortunately refused.
There is no game type or design restraint, DnD, Warhammer AoS, 40K, Halo:Flashpoint etc… 3D prints are also allowed. Please keep entries as inoffensive as possible as the contest is open to all ages.
If you don’t have a model to paint, you can collect an Infernus Space Marine or Stormcast Eternal Liberator from us in store for free (whilst stocks last).
This is an in-store only contest.
Each participant will have their details captured and a number will be assigned to their entry for the public vote.
Once the judging has concluded, participants can come back into the store and collect their entry, we cannot accept postal entries nor send entries back to participants via post.
Awards will be given for:-
Best in Show - Decided by judges
Criteria - Best in show will demonstrate strong techniques and refinement, great highlighting, blending, composition, colours, all of the above.
Most Imaginative - Decided by judges
Criteria - This winner will stand out by being a bit different, thinking outside the box and also be well executed.
Public Vote - Store Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their top 3 models,
- 1st = 3 points
- 2nd = 2 points
- 3rd = 1 point.
Points will ultimately be tallied to decide a winner.
Best in Show and Most Imaginative can win the Public Vote; however there will be a unique winner for each of the Best in Show and Most Imaginative category.
